L’Addició 2023, a great wine for great occasions

The new vintage 2023 of L'Addició has a new updated tasting profile. 50% of the wine has macerated with the skins for 29 days and is basically an orange wine. The other 50% of the wine has had skin contact for 24 hours and been aged 9 months in new 225 L Swedish oak barrels.

This gives a more concentrated wine, where the yellow tones are more evident, it is aromatically dense and complex with notes of lemon peel, fresh fruits such as peach and apricot, and notes of green tea and fresh mint. On the palate it is opulent and fresh with good acidity and volume. A very pleasant gastronomic wine.

A Year of Bottled Joy

It’s been a year since we launched our new visitor program – and what a year it has been. We could never have imagined that so many people would want to come and visit us. Over 300 people have made their way to Montsant to hear our story, see how we work, and taste our wines. It has been both rewarding and inspiring.

We’ve received so much in return from all the conversations, laught, and reflections shared throughout the year. It has given us new energy to continue developing the visitor experience. Not everyone can be here during harvest, but now you can still get a sense of it – we’ve started showing key moments, like the harvest and bottling, on a big screen in the winery.

We’ve also made small changes in our shop. In addition to the wines, we now offer our own olive oil, vinegar, and Orujo. We’ve created new gift packaging, and our gift cards have become popular – perhaps because a wine experience is a truly appreciated gift.

Our greatest wish is that every visit feels personal, genuine, and memorable. And that you leave us with a smile, new knowledge, and an experience to carry with you.

Thank you to everyone who has visited. And to those of you who haven’t yet – we look forward to meeting you.
Wine should be fun! – or as we say: bottled joy.

From grape skins to exclusive spirit – our first Orujo is here!Give away a tasteful experience!

Starting a new winery from scratch requires a deep passion for wines and beverages of all kinds. The owners of Bell Cros, Peter and his son Philip, P&P, share this passion. The Spanish counterpart to Grappa is called Orujo, and if you run a winery in Spain, it’s almost a must to produce this traditional spirit. Now, we are proud to present our very first Orujo – a genuine craft, created with tradition and passion. The first production consists of only 248 bottles – an exclusive and flavorful spirit that enhances the end of a memorable meal. We look forward to sharing this unique drink with you – cheers and welcome to experience Bell Cros Orujo!

Orujo is made by distilling the leftovers from wine production – the grape skins. Normally, we use the skins for composting in the vineyard, but now we’ve instead used the grape skins from our gastronomic wine El Tracte to make P&P. It takes about 15 kg of grape skins to produce one liter of Orujo.

The grape skins are distilled in traditional copper stills, where the alcohol is extracted and captured as a clear, flavorful spirit.

Gastronomic Wines That Elevate Every Meal

L'Addició, La Colina and El Tracte - our black label wines – are more than just wine. They are crafted to blend in, enhance flavors, and create harmony at the table rather than overpowering the meal.

With elegance, balance, and complexity, they adapt to the food and elevate the dining experience. They are not just a complement to the meal – they are part of it.

L'Addició, has undergone an exciting development, introduced a new style in the 2022 vintage with 50% orange wine. This change brings a unique, complex character with an added dimension of structure and flavor. With its deep berry aromas and light tannin structure, balanced by the characteristic tannin and acidity freshness of orange wine, L'Addició is now even more versatile, pairing excellently with flavorful dishes like white meats, game, and stews, but also with grilled fish, seafood, and cheese plates.

El Tracte, our very first wine has been highly appreciated since its introduction. With its elegant balance of medium fruitiness and fine tannins, it has quickly become a favorite choice for both restaurants and wine lovers. This wine unites dishes and enhances nuances in both wine and food, making it ideal for flavorful, rustic dishes like lamb, game, and truffle pasta.

La Colina, our newest wine has quickly gained popularity for its elegant balance of fresh acidity and mineral character. This wine has proven to be particularly food-friendly, enhancing lighter dishes like white and red meats, meat stews, grilled fish, and Mediterranean-inspired meals. Despite its youth, it has already earned a very good reputation for its ability to complement food beautifully.

ONE OFF #7 – White wine with a blue soul!

Bell Cros launches ONE OFF #7 – a Blanc de Noir from blue grapes
We are delighted to introduce our latest creation: ONE OFF #7 Blanc de Noir. This unique white wine is carefully crafted from the blue grapes Garnacha Negra and Carinyena, offering an exciting combination of freshness and complexity. ONE OFF #7 is the result of an artisanal winemaking process, where the dark grape skins are gently pressed to avoid transferring color to the juice. The result is a wine that balances the fresh lightness of a white wine with the structure and character of blue grapes.

Tasting Notes
This pale wine, with subtle pink reflections, offers aromas of citrus, red berries, and hints of fig. On the palate, it is fresh yet nuanced, with a smooth, silky texture.

Food Pairing
ONE OFF #7 Blanc de Noir pairs beautifully with seafood, poultry, vegetarian dishes, charcuterie, and cheese, but can also be enjoyed on its own. For the best experience, serve at 10–14°C.
