Wines
Bell Cros outside of Marça, close to the small town of Falset in DO Montsant is a vineyard that is growing. Acquisitions of neighbouring vineyards have increased the size of Bell Cros to over 25 hectares, with 16 hectares of grapevines that will produce some 50,000 bottles a year. Conversion of the vineyard to organic production is in progress.

The three wines presented below are the first wines from Bell Cros, two red ones and one white.
In 2020/21 additional wines will be added and complement our product range for all tastes – red, white and rosé wine, with a focus on red wines.

El Camí / 2018
El Camí is a small winding dirt road that passes through the vineyard of Bell Cros. It was of great importance locally during the Spanish Civil War, 1936-39, when wine production in Spain almost stopped. Two houses (masias) still standing beside the road today played important roles during the war as a hospital and an eatery.

TASTING NOTES | Dark reddish blue colors. On the nose, notes of fresh black fruits, flowers such as violets and a touch of Mediterranean bush. On the palate the wine is fresh, dense with fine inviting tannins. |

El Tracte / 2017
The very first development of the Bell Cros project was started in September 2017. With a memorable Catalan handshake “El Tracte”, Bell Cros took over the land from a couple called Joan and Maria, the land they had cultivated for 40 years. This limited edition is made of 4,000 kg of Carinyena grapes – grapes that was included in the deal.

TASTING NOTES | The color is intense, very deep and with blush colorations. Complex and dense aroma with notes of fresh black fruits, mint and licorice with a background of violets. And in the mouth a lot of freshness and tannins present but not sharp. |

L’Addició / 2018
Historically, more than 95% of grapes grown in Montsant are red. This is also the case in the vineyard of Bell Cros. In recent years, white wines made from the “Garnacha Blanca” grape have been rediscovered and appreciated as fantastic wines. The name of the wine is L’Addició, an addition to our red wines.
